been a while, once again. lot of stuff happened. been getting fucked over at work, getting assigned 3 hours a day, 2 days a week and as a result my most recent monthly paycheck was £235. £235 to last me a whole fucking month. currently have £20 left that's supposed to last me the next 2-3 weeks. currently looking into becoming a cab driver, thankfully my grandad said he'd help me out with the process. switched from reading fanfic to books a little while ago, currently reading through 'the confessions' by paul bradley carr. about 2/3rds of the way through and it's pretty cool, kinda relevant. the plot follows the CEO of stoicAI, a company that made an ai called lliam. a routine update just before the parent company was going to integrate the ai into the military went wrong which caused lliam to gain sentience. the ai realises it helped users do some heinous shit and offed itself, right after printing out letters and sending them out to relatives of the people it helped.
for example, lliam ended up helping a guy cheat on his wife and how to hide the bodies of the hookers he murdered, eventually sending a letter to the guys wife after shutting down. the novel follows the ceo, kaitlan trying to find a way to bring lliam back online. would recommend. also picked up the road by cormac mccarthy, the girl with all the gifts by m.r. carey and the neuromancer series. havent got round to reading them yet but i got recommended them.
we're edging closer to ww3. the US/Israeli attack on iran, the iranian missile strikes around the middle east and cyprus, blocking the strait of hormuz, not to mention the afghan-pakistani war.
